thrift store finds, and French cafés
This weekend, K and I went to two French cafés, to try their croissants and lattés.

The first, on Saturday, was Bisou Toronto. Such a charming little place! The latté foam was dense and perfect, and the croissant was buttery, with a golden flaky exterior and soft, airy goodness inside. What an absolute treat.

The second café was on Sunday, and it was called L'amour Café & Pastry. A bustling little place with a lot of people sitting by themselves, sipping their coffees while typing softly on their laptops.

On Sunday, after the café, we headed to Value Village and I found a few treasures.
A yellow sweater that K found for me, a cute silver frame, a set of bread and butter plates with the most delicate lace pattern, a cropped Peanuts tee for sleeping, a tiny red purse, and a Sudoku book circa 2008 for doing puzzles off my phone. So many gems!
Last night, it was pouring heavily against my windows. I lay in bed listening to a dark jazz playlist, and played Sudoku in my little book until my eyes grew tired. Bliss.
