For a job: do what you like, not what you love.
A Substack newsletter I regularly read popped up in my inbox this morning, and I felt strangely put off by it. A lot of the Substacks I'm subscribed to are well-written, but they all share a similar tone, and all seem to discuss the same topics. Idk, maybe I'm just going through the motions of creative burnout, and their letters are triggering comparison and resentment.
Trying out: The 3 2 1 journaling method. Every morning, write down three things you're thankful for, two things you're excited about, and one thing you want to accomplish/get done today.
Overheard today: Self-education and hobbies are the antidote to brain rot.
I read Herman's blog post today, and after reading it, all I kept thinking was: he should make Bearblog t-shirts. Why not? Are.na has their little merch things, and Bearblog is cooler than Are.na.
Writing on your blog like adding ingredients to the soup that is the internet.
mood
Creepy white nightgowns, candles, journaling, thrifting vintage teacups (for my art supplies) & art frames (for my drawings), adding ephemera to my journal but refusing to call it junk journaling, and being swept away by fantasies of moving to Paris (take advantage of my dual citizenship).

ideas
> Making a moodboard of sorts on my blog for every month or season. Quotes, pictures, drawings, ideas, songs, mood lists.
> Making a personal bingo card of experiences for the month.
