the highest degree
I wonder what it would look like if I was interested in something without trying to pursue it to the highest degree. Making art for its own pleasure without trying to sell it. Trying things without the need to become an expert at it. Following curiosities with fervor and letting them slip away quietly without guilt. Letting myself be swept away by novelty and playfulness and trusting my interests to lead me everywhere or nowhere.
