a sneak peek at my new zine and some weekly thoughts
Working on my June perzine/newsletter. For some reason, this zine is turning out to be very colorful.

After so much b&w, it feels fresh and fun to layer up some colorful collage. I'm not too sure about the cover. I drew a comic-style girl, but I'm not sure if I like the style of the character. I'm pressing on!
Speaking of color--did you get last month's zine? You can still snag it in my shop! It's v flowery 🌸 :)
this week
-I made some minor changes to my blog and added a few new pages. Still feeling it out, but so far I like all the subtle changes.
-I've been battling a cold this week on top of a hellish Scorsese bloodbath menstrual cycle, so I feel wiped out.
-I made my first zine trade with someone, and I'm so excited about it. I've been thinking about getting a P.O. Box so I can trade more safely, but I haven't priced it out yet.
-I purchased some sticker sheets for my inkjet printer, so I can experiment making some stickers out of my drawings. Handcutting them will no doubt take some practice and finesse--wish me luck!
-I love Are.na. It's a relaxing platform full of knowledge rabbit holes. But a part of me thinks--I should create these "channels" on my own website. I should archive these thoughts/knowledge blips/lists on my own site.
-I'd like to implement mood tags for my blog. Like if you're in this kind of mood, you'll enjoy these posts sort of thing.

CatMothCrow talking about how to get comfortable sharing your work/zines. A very gentle pep talk for all struggling artists. I adore everything they do.
Tiana's zines are gorgeous. So inspiring.
