a baby skunk and a quiet art club
My sister was on a walk yesterday and happened upon a tiny baby skunk who didn't look well. She called me in tears (as we both do when we see injured animals) and decided to contact wildlife rescue. They picked him up, and he's now doing much better.
look at that lil nose
He had an eye infection and was severely dehydrated. But they've given him some medicine, and it looks like he's on the up and up <3
They said he's a very affectionate lil baby and loves his stuffy 😭
I spent the morning working on my next zine. I'm going to make a half-zine again, as I really enjoyed the format the last time I made one.

Also, just a gentle reminder to all of you who are quietly making and sharing your art and writing on your website: keep going! I'm right here with you. Consider us members of a quiet art club.
My zines are made in the spirit of persistence. Even if no one buys my zines (it happens! No one bought my last two zines), or if you feel like no one cares about your creations other than you. Making is enough.
It's so important to claim space in your sketchbook, on your own website, or wherever you feel most comfortable making and sharing things, even if it feels like no one is looking. Because I promise you, there are people out there who are quietly nourished and inspired by your work. So keep going <3
So many flowers, berries, and colors in such a small patch of grass in the backyard. So pretty and magical.
I went to the bookstore yesterday and purchased a couple of books. Lost Songs of Nature: Nature's Symphony In The Age Of Noise Pollution by Michel Leboeuf, and The Spell of the Sensuous by David Abram.
There were two other books I really wanted to get, but I'll leave them for next time. They were: Time 10 Things You Should Know: A Journey Through The Greatest Mystery Of Our Universe by Colin Stuart, and Forest School For Grown Ups: Explore The Wisdom Of The Woods by Richard Irvine.
