Soon We’ll Be Dead: Che-Li
Hey folks, I hope you're all doing well.
I'm sitting at my kitchen table and having some issues with my laptop. It's a Macbook air from 2015, and it's slowly dying on me.
I have a PC for work, but when I'm not working, I don't like to use it. Does that make sense?
Most of my creative stuff is done with this laptop, and I am hesitant to upgrade it. First, obviously, it's expensive, but also, my partner bought it for me way back when, and not sure I want to part with it yet.
I know things are just things, but a lot of his stuff still holds meaning for me, even after him being gone for so long. His football jersey, some of his Scorcesse + Tarantino movies, a box full of tickets and memorabilia, some baseball caps, and a Payton Manning plaque thing that I haven't been able to put on the wall.
Still stings to see his things.
After five years, he still pops into my head every day.

Do you have a website, blog, or socials?
Are you scared of death?
Not really
What do you think happens when we die? Where do we go?
Nothing. We leave our consciousness and thought processes behind with our brains.
Do you have a sense of purpose in life? What were you put on this Earth to do?
I wasn’t put here for any purpose. I’m an organism that is an accident best described by Darwin.
What makes a meaningful life?
Learning, loving, and working toward goals.
What would you regret the most if you were to die today?
Not being able to make music any longer.
How do you want to be remembered?
As someone who cares.
Is it important to you to leave a legacy behind?
Not really.
What are you most proud of in your life?
Making something out of nothing.
Would you rather be cremated or buried? Why?
Buried… preferably in a shroud. From earth and returned to earth.
What do you want your epitaph to say?
Wanted to be better and do more.
What would be the worst/best way to die for you?
Worst - in my sleep (so [yawn] boring!). Best - stand up, have a massive heart attack, and die before I hit the floor. Leaves a decent story without too much drama.
What are your five "Bucket List" (for lack of a better term) things you want to do before you die? What things are important to you that you want to experience, learn, or do?
Learn another language. Write amazing music. Play amazing music. Open an art venue. Win the lottery and become a dedicated philanthropist.
