Sometimes I feel like my zines don't actually fall under the "zine genre", but I decided to send some of my paper missives to the Zine Pavilion callout anyway. Hopefully, a few people enjoy them:)
Another postal strike is supposed to happen this Friday here in Canada, so if you have your eye on some of my zines or art, now is the time to snag one!

We walk around not being seen by our families and friends, which creates a deep wound in us, and being on socials is where we cover up that wound.
Feeling deeply seen by a partner and friends can be v healing.
Being seen is about seeing yourself first and foremost.

We portray ourselves online the way we want to be seen by others and the way we want to see ourselves.
If you're an anxiously attached person, having access to everyone's life probably isn't the best thing for you.
What about the worthiness wound, which is exacerbated by no one liking your post? esp if socials are the only place where you feel seen.
Bolster your identity in other spaces.
Social media has trained us to become attached to metrics as a sign of being seen.

- Yesterday, my sister and I went for breakfast, then dropped off some zines around Free Little Libraries around the neighborhood, and I can't wait for the day I own a piece of land so I can put one up too.
K got me flowers just because, and they are so gorgeous. Every time I walk by, I stick my face in them and breathe in lol. We visited the record store yesterday, and I picked up a few albums that I'm really excited to listen to for the first time. MJ Lenderman Boat Songs, Lucy Dacus Forever Is A Feeling, and The Cure Mixes Of A Lost World.
Reading: A Life of One's Own by Joanna Biggs. This was a Free Little Library find, and I'm excited to dig into it.
