field notes and a beautiful zine letter
Last night, I took one of my Field Notes off the shelf and took a flip through it. It was so cute, looking back at all the little quotes I saved, thoughts for my website, hex code colors, and tiny everyday musings I decided to capture.
I don't know why I stopped using them, as they're the perfect catch-all notebook. I've been going through a tiny renaissance with them, after watching a few vids on YT. The way I use them is quite utilitarian, with the occasional doodle here and there, but after seeing how a few people have been journaling with them, it's inspired me to fill them up with tiny photos, drawings, and lean more towards tiny keepsakes. Consider me influenced.
zine letter
Sven sent me a zine letter after I sent him some of my zines, and I am in love with it. Look how prettyyyy it is. The pink paper and the red ribbon are so gorgeous. No one has ever made me a personal zine before, so this is very special to me. I shall cherish it foreverrrrrr. Thank you, Sven!!
weekend thoughts
I. Century-scale storage is still a book.
II. K is coming down soon and told me what my bday present was bc he just couldn't wait hehe. (My bday is at the end of the month). It's a papershoot camera and i'm sooooo excited!
III. I've decided to let go of my paper planner and use iCal for appts/events, Apple Reminders for tasks, and my Field Notes as a commonplace journal. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
IV. I spent an inordinate amount of time yesterday trying to figure out how to best showcase book quotes on my website. I wanted it to resemble Are.na's simple layout. But no go. It just didn't look right, and felt overly complicated.
V. My sister is flying to Africa today with her husband, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law for a two-week trip. I hope she has the time of her life <3
heart-ons
