Waiting for Barely Real's S. cassette to arrive. I was perusing Cortney Cassidy's site, who writes my all-time fav zine Mail Blog, and saw that she had a new album out. Can't wait.
I bought perfume yesterday. It’s been a long time since I’ve owned a bottle. I bought Clementine Dream Eau de Parfum by The 7 Virtues. Mandarin oil and upcycled black amber from Italy. Oh la la! It’s formulated without parabens, phthalates, or sulphates, which is v nice.
Are note-taking apps part of the attention economy? Nathan brings up a good point: hoarding data/knowledge and storing it somewhere isn't the same as learning or cultivating wisdom.
Reading: Wage slaves, a graphic memoir by Daria Bogdanska about the struggles of finding work in a new country. It has expressive black ink linework, and the pages feel full to the brim with text and detail.
