artists supporting artists, reading tarot + other life things

I was so happy to see that Destiny Toro included me in her Holiday Gift Guide 2025. What an absolute honour it is to be included in a list with so many great artists. Thank you Destiny!!

I've been working on some tiny website cards and mini zines. They're fun to make and I love hiding them around the city whenever I'm out and about.

sorry about the dark-ish photos but it's a rainy and dreary day here in Toronto.

Two years after the car accident, which fractured my tibial plateau, I'm still dealing with discomfort. It was a bad day yesterday, and I had a good cry. Adjusting to the fact that I may never return to "normal" is so hard to come to terms with some days. There are still a lot of things my leg can't do in terms of flexibility and movement. I'm always "aware" of my leg if that makes any sense. When I go for a walk with my dog my mind flits to it and it still feels weird, hurts on some days, and looks different compared to the other leg. Circulation in that leg is mildly impaired and it sometimes flushes light red, which freaks me out.

My interest in Tarot began in 2020, during the pandemic, and my first deck was The Wild Unknown by Kim Krans. This deck is still my favorite. The way I approach Tarot is through a psychological lens, and although I don’t subscribe to using it for fortune-telling, I do love its magical allure and rich esoteric history! I love nerding out and finding connections in the pictures as I ponder a question, because Tarot is all about making connections and finding different perspectives. I've recently begun to have the courage to sit down with friends and read for them, and it's felt so good to help people in this way!
