a Polaroid summer project
I spent the long weekend clearing the cobwebs from my apartment.
The main purge was throwing out YEARS of old diaries and journals—all of them. Not one survived.
I've been thinking about doing this for a long time. Reading them made me feel horrible, and they all seemed to circle the same themes. Lugging those boxes full of journals to each new apartment felt tiresome. It was time to let them go.
I feel good about it. I'm free: to untangle myself from past narratives; from reinforcing and remembering things I don't wish to remember; to change; to reinvent the person I want to be.
Next on the to-get-rid-of list: books, clothes, paper ephemera, apps, expired kitchen things, tucked-away closet articles, + bathroom items.
Sketchbook things:
Polaroid-inspired pencil and marker drawing
fav breakfast menu items: two eggs over medium, turkey bacon, strawberries, raspberries, a piece of Sourdough toast, and some brie...maybe a few sunflower seeds and some black coffee
into the blue...

I brought it to the breakfast diner with my sister on Sunday and took a photo of her. Two waiters saw the camera, and stopped by our table. We gabbed on about how fun it was to take an instant photo.
